I started training at Gracie Barra North Orlando in 2017 and have had a really good experience! Professor Gutty is amazing, the gym is always clean and the class schedule is great. The members are awesome too, I have always felt safe and welcome. I would highly recommend training at this academy!
Been training with Gracie Barra North Orlando since May of 2011 and gotta say it's been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Jiu jitsu is just an incredible martial art that I believe everyone should learn. The people here are just absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful. Professor Gutty is a world champion and is extremely passionate. The facility is great, 2 huge areas downstairs and upstairs - a weight room, and a conditioning room. Check it out, you will not regret it.
Training BJJ at Gracie Barra has been transformational for my body and mind. Professors Gutti and Lawrence are great instructors and even greater people. There's a total team atmosphere with the students as well.
We were visiting Orlando and my son wanted to get some jujitsu in. Professor Lawrence and G didn’t disappoint. This review is a couple weeks late but thanks guys!
I’ve been training here consistently for over 3.5 years, and it’s my absolute favorite activity I’ve ever done. I love jiu-jitsu, but it’s the people (students and teachers) and the environment here that really makes me want to train everyday. I’ve visited other schools, but I have not yet seen a more diverse and balanced group. There are all walks of life of all ages. There is a wide spectrum of training, where you have people that train occasionally just for fun to people that just do it for the exercise to world champion, competition athletes. There is a niche for everyone.
Winter Park is a city in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 30,825 according to the 2019 census population estimate. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Winter Park was founded as a resort community by northern business magnates in the late 19th and early 20th centuries (Founded on July 4, 1881 – Tales of Winter Park). Its main street, called Park Avenue, is located in the middle of town. It includes civic buildings, retail, art galleries, a private liberal arts college (Rollins College), museums, a park, a train station, a golf course country club, a historic cemetery, and a beach and boat launch. == History == The Winter Park area's first human residents were migrant Muscogee people who had earlier intermingled with the Choctaw and other indigenous people. In a process of ethnogenesis, the Native Americans formed a new culture which they called "Seminole", a derivative of the Mvskoke' (a Creek language) word simano-li, an adaptation of the Spanish cimarrón which means "wild" (in their case, "wild men"), or "runaway" [men]. The site was first inhabited by Europeans in 1858, when David Mizell Jr. bought an 8-acre (32,000 m2) homestead between Lakes Virginia, Mizell, and Berry.
